A search is under way for a boy who remains missing after getting into difficulty swimming in a river.
The child was with friends when he went into the River Ribble at Ribchester in Lancashire, police said.
Officers were called to concerns for the boy’s welfare shortly after 14:00 BST.
Lancashire Police said: “Emergency services are at the scene and searches are ongoing.”
