Yellow weather warning for thunderstorms issued in South West

A yellow warning for thunderstorms has been issued for much of the south-west of England by the Met Office until 23:59 BST.
The warning covers Bath and North East Somerset, Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole, Bristol, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Plymouth, Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Torbay, Wiltshire and parts of Hampshire.
The Met Office said some flooding of a few homes and businesses was “possible, leading to some damage to buildings or structures”.
It added that some short-term loss of power and other services was “likely”, and there was a “good chance” driving conditions would be affected by spray, standing water and/or hail.
