Tia Mowry Hard Launches Her New Man with Laughing Beach Selfie, Says They Had the ‘Best Time’ on Vacation Together

On Wednesday, May 27, the actress, 47, shared an Instagram carousel of photos from her recent break to the Nobu hotel in Mexico’s Cabo San Lucas. She also included a laughing selfie alongside her new mystery man.

In the beach snap, her beau was smiling while wearing dark shades and a white T-shirt, while Mowry looked away from the camera in a fit of giggles.

The images were captioned, “A little sunshine, a little peace, and a much-needed reset. Had the best time staying at @nobuloscabos 🤍.”

Other images in the carousel offered an insight into their luxury break, including delicious-looking food by the infinity pool, lots of cocktails and even an art session! One of the snaps showed Mowry’s man sketching her in pencil; the Family Reunion star also included several swimwear and closet selfies.

Back in March, Mowry opened up to PEOPLE about “manifesting” her new love after a period of solitude and self-discovery.

“I will say that I’ve been in a place of solitude for a very long time,” Mowry, 47, told PEOPLE exclusively. “And there, I was really able to learn who I am, what it was that I wanted, and what it was that I needed. And I manifested this. I really did.”

The star said her approach to dating shifted after she became more intentional about her mindset, revealing that she was using “visualization” and “being really positive” about the words she was telling herself to help her find happiness.

“And I just started to stop just talking bad and poorly about dating because it was very easy to do that,” she added.

While she declined to share her partner’s details, telling PEOPLE she wanted to “protect” their privacy, she did confirm she’s “very happy.”

Mowry was attending the Jhpiego Laughter Is the Best Medicine Gala to support close friend Gabrielle Union, who was honored on the evening for her advocacy work supporting women and families worldwide. And she was quick to tell PEOPLE how much of a support Union has been to her.

“She has been an angel for me for the past four years,” Mowry said. “I always tell her, I’m like, ‘You literally took me up under your wing.’”

Mowry’s new perspective comes following her 2023 divorce from Cory Hardrict, with whom she shares son Cree, 14, and daughter Cairo, 7. And she says Union was with her every step of the way.

“She’s been there before. She’s been divorced, and she knew exactly what to say, what to do, what I needed, even before I knew what I needed,” Mowry gushed. “She’s always thinking about other people. She’s just an incredible human being.”
