Brian Geraghty Joins Chris Hemsworth & Taron Egerton In Matt Ross’ Thriller ‘Kockroach’

EXCLUSIVE: Brian Geraghty has joined the cast of Matt Ross’ crime thriller Kockroach as it shoots in Australia.

He joins an ensemble cast featuring previously announced Chris Hemsworth, Taron Egerton, Zazie Beetz, Alec Baldwin and Rachel Sennott.

The film is based on William Lashner’s 2007 novel and follows a mysterious outsider who rises through New York’s criminal underworld to become a powerful crime boss. Ross is directing from a screenplay by Jonathan Ames.

Geraghty most recently was seen in Taylor Sheridan’s Paramount+ series 1923, opposite Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.

He also recently completed a run at the 2025 Williamstown Theatre Festival in Tennessee Williams’ Not About Nightingales alongside Chris Messina and William Jackson Harper.

On the feature film side, he is best known for his performance as the bomb-disposal specialist Owen Eldridge in Kathryn Bigelow’s Academy Award-winning The Hurt Locker and for his role opposite Denzel Washington in Robert Zemeckis’ acclaimed drama Flight.

Additional film credits include the Sundance-premiered Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile opposite Zac Efron, Lily Collins and John Malkovich; Elias Daughdrill’s drama Faith; and the independent feature The Luckiest Man in America opposite Walton Goggins, Paul Walter Hauser, and David Strathairn.
