GILBERT, AZ (AZFamily) — A man is seriously hurt after colliding with a car on a major road in Gilbert late Saturday morning.
Just before 10 a.m., first responders were called to the crash near Power Road and Haven Crest Drive, just north of Queen Creek Road.
Gilbert police arrived and found the man seriously hurt. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Investigators believe the man was riding an e-bike without a helmet when he ran a red light before the crash.
Police temporarily closed Power Road as they worked to determine the exact cause of the crash, which remains under investigation.
