Country Music Star Loses Temper, Flips Piano

Country music singer Morgan Wallen flipped his piano onstage during his Friday night concert after appearing to get angry with the instrument.

Videos show Wallen singing “Sand in My Boots” on the piano during his concert in Denver, Colorado, but when he appears to become frustrated with some technical difficulties, he takes the microphone and tells the crowd he’s just going to sing a cappella. The crowd erupts in cheers as Wallen finishes the song. When it’s over, he pushes the piano, flipping it almost completely over.

Wallen has not addressed the incident, and his reps did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

While Wallen has had a successful country music career, he’s also known for his aggressive behavior. In 2024, he pleaded guilty to throwing a chair off a rooftop bar owned by fellow country singer Eric Church. He was sentenced to seven days at a DUI education center and probation for two years.

Then in 2025, after Wallen was a musical guest on “Saturday Night Live,” he quickly walked off stage while the cast was still saying their goodbyes. Later that night, he posted a photo of his private jet on Instagram with the caption, “Get me to God’s country.” Many took this as a sign that Wallen did not enjoy his time on “SNL.” A few months later, he told comedian Caleb Pressley he was “just ready to go home” because he had been at “SNL” all week.
