Phoebe Bridgers pop-up show in Davenport sells out in hours

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – A pop-up performance Friday night had people lining up to get tickets earlier in the day.

The line began forming outside the Raccoon Motel after word got out on social media that indie music artist Phoebe Bridgers was performing in Davenport.

Flyers were posted on the venue’s doors, and by the time reporters arrived around 11:30 a.m., the line was already wrapped around the block.

Some fans raced out of graduation practice to get in line.

“There were security guards that wouldn’t let me out. I said there was a family emergency; they still wouldn’t let me out. Phoebe is family,” a fan said.

Only 120 people were able to get tickets. The show was sold out by 12:15 p.m.

The show begins at 8 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m., according to a pamphlet outside the venue.

Attendees must have a wristband from the box office to enter the concert. Phones, cameras and other recording devices are prohibited. Attendees will be required to put their devices in Yondr pouches, which will be unlocked after the show.

Small bags no larger than 8x6x3-inch are allowed. Apple Pay will be unavailable. Cash and physical credit cards will be accepted.
