First Love Island bombshells: Meet George and Yasmin, who have a special secret power in the villa

Love Island 2026 launched with a major twist and two new bombshells: So who exactly are George and Yasmin?

If you watched this year’s launch episode, you’ll know Maya Jama delivered the ultimate twist during the first coupling up. After setting the 12 Islanders up in a fairly awkward situation, where they had to decide who to pair up with face-to-face, everything seemed to be smooth sailing.

Only, she then dropped the ultimate bombshell in the shape of, well, two new bombshells: George and Yasmin. The pair were given the ultimate power, when the host revealed they’d be allowed to dump two Islanders of their choice in 24 hours time.

So, who will they choose – and why? Will it be someone they suspect of playing games? Will it be someone they see as competition? Or perhaps someone is just a bad snorer…

But before we find our their picks, here’s everything you need to know about the bombshells.

Love Island bombshell – George

Age: 28

Job: Professional Footballer

From: Winchester

Describe your ‘type on paper’: Tanned brunettes, quite minimalist looking, not much make up, dresses really well, funny, charismatic, all of that stuff.

What kind of person are you hoping doesn’t walk through the villa door? I like natural, well-spoken, well-presented girls. I don’t want too much energy or the loudest girl in the room, I don’t like all of that.

Are you here for the drama, or is finding love your only goal? I think through finding what you want, you’ll naturally come into a bit of friction. I don’t seek drama but I’m quite naturally competitive but if there’s something in my way, I want to put my best foot forward.

Love Island bombshell – Yasmin

Age: 23

Location: Broadstairs, Kent

Occupation: Recruitment Consultant

Describe your type on paper: Someone who’s funny. I bounce off people who are funny, so I think that’s very important to me. I love an accent – anyone who’s got an accent – could be Irish, a Manchester accent, I love it. Also tall. I’m really, really small, but I love someone who’s just really tall next to me, and can look after me, that kind of thing.

What kind of person are you hoping doesn’t walk through the Villa door?
Someone who takes longer than me to get ready. I can’t stand it. I just can’t stand it and my ex was like that and I would be downstairs waiting for him to get ready to put in his fifth load of hairspray on his hair. It was no good!

Are you here for the drama, or is finding love your only goal? I’m here for love but I know that drama is gonna come with it. If I like her man, I’m gonna have to go for it and have those conversations. It’s a small villa but I’m used to this because I come from a small town where everyone knows everyone!

Can’t WAIT to see where this goes.
