Dave Chappelle to play Little Caesars Arena for mid-June

Mel Brooks’ ‘The 99 Year Old Man!’ with Adam Sandler, Judd Apatow

Legendary Mel Brooks stars in Judd Apatow’s two-part HBO doc “The 99 Year Old Man!” (Jan. 22, 23) with Conan O’Brien, Adam Sandler, Dave Chappelle.

A limited U.S. run will bring Dave Chappelle to Little Caesars Arena on June 15, the comic announced Thursday, June 4.

It’s a quick turnaround for the tour, which he has dubbed Pulling Up. Tickets will go on sale at noon Friday through Ticketmaster, with Chappelle arriving just 10 days later.

The noon announcement also included word of upcoming tour stops in Baltimore and Cleveland.

This will be Chappelle’s second career show at LCA — which can accommodate more than 15,000 fans for comedy configurations — following his 2023 debut at the downtown arena.

The Motor City has long been a prime market for the D.C. native, and he has left his mark here in more ways than one. A notorious 2015 Fillmore Detroit gig, where his slurring delivery was met with booing and heckling, eventually became fodder for his stand-up routine: Chappelle explained he’d gotten too high backstage with local rappers, a tale verified by Detroit artist Danny Brown.

Chappelle’s eighth Netflix special, “The Unstoppable,” was released in December.
