BATTLE GROUND, Wash. (KPTV) – A man was killed and and a woman was seriously hurt in a stabbing on Friday afternoon.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a reported stabbing just before 1:30 p.m. near NE 117th Avenue and NE 244th Street in Battle Ground.
Deputies arrived to find a man and a woman who had been stabbed, as well as the suspect – who surrendered at the scene.
The male victim died at the scene, whiled the woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. She is is expected to recover.
Authorities identified the suspect on Saturday as 39-year-old Steven Williams of Battle Ground. They say both of the victims are related to him.
Williams is charged with first-degree murder and first-degree attempted murder, and is being held at the Clark County Jail.
