Donald Trump Made an Unexpected Confession While Speaking to Farmers

Donald Trump made a bold comment during his Wisconsin visit for a farmers’ event. He questioned why he was there, claiming that he got elected because he likes farmers and that he should have been at home. His remarks left the farmers in the audience startled, with Trump’s agriculture secretary, Brooke Rollins, displaying an awkward smile.

During a farmers’ roundtable in Chippewa Falls, Trump spoke controversially about his presence after bragging about his renovation projects and blaming NBC for his late arrival. He said that he didn’t have to be present at the event, as he was elected. “I don’t know, what the hell do I have to be here for?” he posed the question to those present.
He claimed that instead of attending the event, he could have just been at the house and spent time watching TV. “I got elected. I’m here because I like the farmer. I mean, when you think about it, I guess there’s a lot of truth to that – I could be home right now at the beautiful White House, enjoying watching somebody else on television,” he continued.
Another moment of the event that garnered attention was Trump asking the participants to wrap it up quickly so that he could leave. He cited the reason for the hurry as having to continue dealing with the Iran conflict. However, the Daily Beast reported that he wasn’t scheduled to arrive in Washington but was supposed to fly to his golf club in Bedminster. “This is a hell of a speakers list, I might be here all night. No, if we can fellas, I gotta get back,” he added, referring to the participants to conclude their parts quickly.
Apart from discussing the renovations and his delay, he also shared praises for speed skater Jordan Stolz, who triumphed at the Milan Winter Olympics.
