Business-owner Zach Bennett, 19, said he spotted a plume of smoke above the trees and drove over for a closer look.
“I wanted to get some pictures and was just being nosy,” he said.
“A lot of people must have has the same idea because there were more people driving towards the fire than away, which was peculiar.”
Bennett said when he arrived staff had been evacuated and were standing at muster points around buildings that were engulfed in flames.
