18-year-old taken in for questioning in Toledo festival mass shooting, family says

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Toledo Police have taken a person into custody for questioning in connection to the mass shooting at a Toledo festival that injured a dozen people, according to sources familiar with the matter.

Authorities brought an 18-year-old man in for questioning on Monday regarding the shooting at the Old West End Fest on June 6, the man’s father told 13 Action News.

Officials have not announced any official charges in the case at this time.

Police confirmed that authorities executed a search warrant at a home on Marmion in connection to the festival shooting.

Investigators said Saturday there appeared to be two shooters involved in the incident. Information about other possible suspects has not been disclosed at this time.

City council members and police officials plan to hold a news conference on the shooting Tuesday morning. 13 Action News will stream it live at 10 a.m.

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – At least a dozen people were injured in a mass shooting at a Toledo festival on Saturday, according to police.

Toledo Police say at least 12 people, whose ages range from 14 to 61, were injured in a shooting near the Old West End Festival in Toledo.

Two of the people who were previously listed in critical condition are now considered stable, according to a statement from the Toledo Police Department.

Toledo Police told 13 Action News that the victims are the following ages: 14, 16 (x2), 20, 22 (x2), 24, 29 (x2), 36, 57, and 61.

That update from police Sunday afternoon said no one has been arrested for the shooting at this point but investigators are making progress on the case and are following multiple leads.

TPD officials said Saturday night that there appeared to be at least two shooters who were shooting at one another.

Officers were called out to the area of Delaware Ave. and Glenwood Ave. just after 5:30 p.m. on June 6. Police shut down multiple roads in the area while they searched for the shooter or shooters.

Investigators are still working to figure out what led up to the incident.
