De La Cruz is starting at shortstop and batting sixth for the Reds in Game 1 of their National League wild-card series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Dodgers’ Blake Snell is opposing the Reds’ Hunter Greene.
De La Cruz was 0-for-4 with two strikeouts against Snell when Snell, then pitching for the San Francisco Giants, no-hit the Reds in Aug. 2024.
