Eagles locker room ‘addressed’ AJ Brown drama

The 2025 Philadelphia Eagles are proof that winning doesn’t solve everything in the NFL. Wide receiver A.J. Brown took to social media to vent his frustration for only catching two passes for seven yards in the Eagles’ 31-25 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The mood in the locker room should have been celebratory, as the Eagles improved to 4-0 after defeating the previously unbeaten Buccaneers in Tampa Bay. Instead, the Eagles had to deal with a star receiver who was frustrated with his limited role on the offense.
Per EJ Smith of Philly Voice, offensive tackle Jordan Mailata told reporters on Wednesday that the team “addressed” Brown’s actions after the win over the Buccaneers. Philadelphia is hoping to move past the issue as they prepare to play the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
“Last week’s drama is last week’s drama,” Mailata said. “Have we addressed it as teammates? Yes, but we’re going to keep that in-house. As far as the rest of the locker room, we’re moving on to this week.”

Brown, a three-time Pro Bowl nominee, has had lackluster stats to begin the season on an offense that has low numbers in the passing game overall. The All-Pro has the team’s most targets (28) but just 14 receptions for 151 yards and one touchdown through the first four games. Quarterback Jalen Hurts has the 25th-most passing yards (609) in the league.
On Wednesday, Brown took accountability for his poor communication after the game.
“First off, I’m going to start off by saying, obviously, Sunday after the game, I let my frustrations boil over,” Brown said. “I didn’t speak to the media. I had a chance to correct my frustrations, and I continue to let it boil over. That’s on me. I take full accountability on that, posting that. My message on Twitter wasn’t directed at anyone in the building. My coaches, not my quarterback, my GM, nobody.”
Brown and Hurts have a history of drama in Philadelphia. That is continuing to spill over into this season.
The Eagles hope that they can move on like they did last season when they went on to win the Super Bowl.
