Among the most memorable appearances was during a visit by the Prince and Princess of Wales to the Glade of Light, the memorial erected in tribute to the victims of the Manchester Arena terror attack. She wore the necklace once again in Manchester, and perhaps brought back memories to that poignant day.
For her most recent outing, the princess paired the necklace with bee earrings—another tribute to the city of Manchester that she also wore to the Glade of Light memorial.
On Thursday Catherine was on hand to meet staff and patients at The Christie, one of Europe’s leading cancer centers. The mother of three started her outing at the Oak Road Treatment Centre, where she met staff and patients currently undergoing chemotherapy. She also spoke to patients receiving complementary therapy and heard how it has assisted their physical and emotional well-being.
The Princess of Wales previously wore the pendant on a 2022 visit to Manchester when she and William paid tribute to the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing at the Glade of Light memorial.

The Princess of Wales then visited the art room and met resident artist Patricia Mountford. Her Royal Highness, who studied art history at the University of St Andrews, took part in a session with patients, gaining insight into how creative expression serves as a powerful tool in their recovery. Next came a conversation with gardener Phil Walker to discover how the landscape of the well-being garden gives patients and staff an opportunity to pause and reflect.
Finally, Catherine visited The Christie’s teenage-and-young-adult unit, funded by the Christie Charity, to meet staff, young patients, and their families, and learn about the therapeutic, social, and recreational activities designed to support young people as they navigate an especially challenging time.
