Dolly Parton takes break from her ‘9 to 5’ to launch new coffee brand

See Dolly Parton’s heartfelt message on her health
Country music icon Dolly Parton gave fans a heartfelt update on her health, delivering some good news and some bad news.
A “cup of ambition” is the key to starting the morning off right, at least according to Dolly Parton.
Inspired by Parton’s Grammy-winning single “9 to 5,” the country music phenom is jumping into the coffee business with the launch of her “new signature coffee brand” Cup of Ambition.
Available in light, medium and dark roasts, the initial range of offerings will debut at the grand opening of Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop in Cornersville, Tennessee, about 60 miles south of Nashville off Interstate 65 at Exit 22, on June 24.
While those who attend the grand opening (or visit the travel center) will be among the first to sample Cup of Ambition, the new blends will be available for purchase nationwide in ground and K-Cup offerings “later this year.”
“I’ve spent a lifetime workin’ 9 to 5, 5 to 9, and every hour in between! It takes a lot of energy to pursue your passion and navigate each day,” Parton said in a statement. “That’s why I wanted to make a coffee that works just as hard.”
“You know, I begin each morning with a head full of dreams, a notepad full of ideas, and a cup or two of coffee. Whether you’re chasing dreams, tackling that to-do list, or just enjoying a quiet morning at home, I hope it brings a smile with every sip,” Parton added.
Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop opening soon
Dubbed a “roadside destination built around comfort, care and Tennessee hospitality,” Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop will feature food, merchandise, live music and, in true Parton fashion, coffee from Dolly’s Cup of Ambition.
According to reporting from The Tennessean, part of the USA TODAY Network, the one-of-a-kind travel stop blends Tennessean Travel Stop’s legacy of service with Parton’s cultural influence. A “large-scale celebration” will mark the grand opening of the travel center on June 24, with a week of celebratory events to follow on July 4.
“I have spent the bulk of my life on the road, and more specifically on a bus,” the “Yellow Roses” singer said in a news release. “All the years spent visiting greasy spoon cafes, truck stops and roadside pit stops have given me an understanding of what travelers desire on the road.”
While design details, including the layout, have not yet been released, the revamped travel stop is expected to feature modern amenities, curated dining and regional retail offerings. The logo incorporates Parton’s silhouette with a nod to traditional truck mud flap designs.
