Scattered showers and storms around Friday as highs reach the 80s
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) –
Temperatures starting off in the upper 70s around sunrise Friday morning are coming with increasing clouds. Mostly cloudy skies throughout the day comes with scattered storms around bringing periods of brief downpours to parts of the area. Highs warm into the mid to upper 80s this afternoon as humid conditions continue.
Overnight, temperatures fall gradually through the 80s and into the mid 70s for lows around sunrise. Passing clouds overhead come with mostly dry conditions, although it remains humid.
Saturday brings more peeks of sunshine to the region with partly cloudy skies overhead. Northernmost areas have a 1/5 risk for severe storms, but that threat remains low and most see rain stay away throughout the day. Partly cloudy skies come with highs warming near 90 degrees during the warmest part of the afternoon as humidity makes it feel more like the mid 90s.
The Extended Forecast brings scattered showers and storms back into the forecast Sunday and Monday as highs reach the lower to middle 80s. While it will not be a washout, keep an eye out for pop-up storms on radar before heading out for any plans. Drier weather with more periods of sunshine comes back into play by midweek as highs once again reach the 90s.
