Fire alarm shuts down Cobequid Health Centre

A fire alarm shut down the Cobequid Health Centre on Thursday morning.
At roughly 6:40 a.m., HRFE firefighters responded to a fire alarm at the hospital.
Deputy Chief Dave Meldrum told 95.7 NewsRadio there was an issue with their boiler system which put some smoke into the building.
He said cleared the scene and the property is in the control of the Health Authority.
The hospital is still closed to all services until further notice and updates will be provided when available.
Nova Scotia Health said blood collection patients should proceed to the Bayers Road Centre at the same appointment time, adding people can also reschedule their appointments. People with diagnostic imaging appointments will be contacted directly
