Three-Team Trade Idea Sends Jaylen Brown To Heat As Celtics Acquire Giannis Antetokounmpo

There has been growing speculation that the Boston Celtics could pursue a trade for Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and that they might have only the Miami Heat as their other competition.

If Antetokounmpo ends up with the Celtics, the Heat will be extremely disappointed. However, for Boston to acquire Antetokounmpo, it will likely need to trade away Jaylen Brown.

Miami should be the third team in a Celtics-Antetokounmpo trade, and here is a trade idea that could send Antetokounmpo to Boston and Brown to Miami.

Celtics receive: Antetokounmpo

Heat receive: Brown

Bucks receive: Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kel’el Ware, Kasparas Jakučionis, Hugo González, 2026 first round pick (via Boston), 2026 first round pick (via Miami), 2030 unprotected first round pick (via Miami) and 2031 unprotected first round pick (via Boston)

The Bucks would receive several players and draft picks in this trade, but they won’t be bringing back any superstar players. Both Boston and Miami will acquire top-15 players, while the Bucks will get Herro, who is around the 50th-best player in the NBA.

This trade would benefit all three teams involved. The Celtics would acquire a top-five player in Antetokounmpo. Miami would receive a star guard to partner with Bam Adebayo, while the Bucks would gain a wealth of young players and draft picks to secure their future.
