Pizza, pasta, and live music will take over Commercial Drive this Sunday.
Italian Day on the Drive returns June 14, transforming Vancouver’s Little Italy into a 14-block street festival celebrating Italian culture, food, music, and community. This year’s theme, Campione (Italian for “champion”), highlights the spirit of pride, perseverance, and togetherness.
The festival runs from noon to 8 p.m. and features live entertainment across multiple stages, including performances by headliners Carmelina Cupo and Antonio Larosa, roaming opera performances, DJs, dance parties, and cultural showcases throughout the day. Roaming performers, stilt walkers, jugglers, living statues, and other pop-up acts will add to the carnival atmosphere along the Drive.
Food will be front and centre throughout the day. Visitors can sample Italian dishes from local restaurants, food trucks, patios, and beverage gardens spread throughout the festival grounds.
Those looking for something a little more interactive can cheer on contestants in the festival’s pasta-eating competitions, try their hand at human foosball, or explore family-friendly activities and carnival games.
Come hungry, stay awhile, and bring your Campione spirit!
