When is Amazon Prime Day?
This year, Amazon Prime Day starts on Tuesday, June 23, and will continue through the end of the workweek on Friday, June 26. On the East Coast, the deals begin at 3 a.m. ET, while West Coasters can start shopping at midnight PT. Last year, Amazon’s summer sale was the first to shift from lasting just 48 hours to four full days of savings, and it seems as though that paid off for the company, as it looks to deliver yet another four-day event.
Though unlike previous sales, this year’s Prime Day will be earlier than ever. In 2025, by comparison, Amazon held its Prime Day sale from July 8 through July 11. Now this year’s is several weeks earlier and marks only the second time that the sale has gone live this early in the year and the first time since 2021.
How long is Prime Day?
Amazon’s 2026 Prime Day sale is four days long. This is only the second time that Amazon has opted to run the shopping event for this long. Originally, the summer sale only covered two days, but now it seems like the four days of deals are here to stay.
Is Prime Day only for Prime Members?
While not every single deal at Amazon will be locked behind a Prime membership, many of Prime Day’s best deals are. Some of the highest markdowns, like Lightning Deals, are only available to those with a membership. If you’re not looking to spend money on a membership, other retailers will be hosting competing sales.
How often is Prime Day?
Prime Day only comes once a year. Amazon has been holding some additional sales throughout the year, like its Big Spring Sale and Big Deal Days events, but those don’t offer the same quality or quantity of deals as the summer’s massive sale.
What kinds of Prime Day deals can you expect to see?
The dates and duration may be shifting around from what previous Prime Days had in store, but the discounts should continue to deliver the same low prices that shoppers have come to expect from the event.
