This Chain Just Booted Chick-fil-A From Its Longtime Perch

Fast-food royalty just got reshuffled, and the new ruler serves subs, not chicken. For the first time in 11 years, Chick-fil-A has been bumped from the top spot in the American Customer Satisfaction Index’s quick-service rankings, with Jersey Mike’s nudging ahead by a single point, reports USA Today. The sandwich chain scored 84 out of 100, praised by surveyed customers for factors like freshness, variety on the menu, and value, while Chick-fil-A landed at 83.
Chick-fil-A is is “still the clear leader for chicken,” per the ACSI, with KFC rising 4 points to 80, followed by Raising Cane’s at 79, Wingstop at 77, and Popeyes at 73. WTHR notes that Jersey Mike’s, which was scooped up in 2025 by the Blackstone private equity firm, now boasts more than 3,200 locations in the US and is trying to branch out overseas.
