New £60,000 grant scheme launches to support grassroots organisations

Charities and groups in Wigan are invited to apply for Anglian Home Improvements’ 60 for 60 campaign, which marks the company’s 60th anniversary.
The campaign will support 60 groups across the UK, with one group receiving a uPVC windows and composite doors makeover worth up to £24,600.
Fifty-nine other groups will each receive a £600 grant to support their work.
Rachael Munby, chief marketing officer at Anglian Home Improvements, said: “We wanted to celebrate our 60th anniversary by giving something meaningful back to local charities and community organisations that make such a difference across the length and breadth of the country.
“In doing so, 60 for 60 is our way of not only saying thank you to the millions of homeowners and their communities that have supported us throughout the last six decades, but it is our hope it helps to build communities for the next six decades too.”
Eligible groups include community centres, volunteer-led schemes, charities, and sports clubs.
Ms Munby encouraged groups in Wigan to apply and to “shine a light on their unsung heroes.”
Applications are open until August 1, via the Anglian Home Improvements website.
