In pictures: Isle of Wight Festival gets under way

The 2026 Isle of Wight Festival is under way at Seaclose Park near Newport.
This year’s event has sold out, with more than 50,000 festival-goers set to enjoy good weather over the four days.
Lewis Capaldi and Wet Leg top the bill on Friday, with Calvin Harris and The Cure headlining on Saturday and Sunday.
The campsite opened at 10:00 BST on Thursday with crowds arriving early to claim the best pitches for the weekend.
Rita Ora, The Last Dinner Party and Chloe Quisha are among the other artists appearing over the next three days.
The event, which famously hosted one of the largest music crowds in history in 1970, was revived in 2002 after a long absence from the festival scene.
