Alison Hammond was absent during the most recent episode of This Morning in a significant line-up change.
The 51-year-old typically hosts the popular ITV show on Fridays alongside co-presenter Dermot O’Leary, but was noticeably missing from today’s (June 19) broadcast.
Dermot instead appeared with Angela Scanlon. The programme opened with the duo dancing along to the 1976 classic I Love to Boogie by rock group T. Rex.
“Hi everyone, welcome to Friday’s This Morning! Look who’s here, welcome to Angela Scanlon everyone!” Dermot announced, as the studio burst into applause.
Angela responded: “Thank you very much,” before Dermot enquired: “How are you?” reports the Mirror.

Angela said: “I’m very well thank you, happy to be here again!” with Dermot then embracing her.
Opening the programme, the Irish host continued: “It’s Father’s Day this weekend so today, we’re celebrating with the songs that remind you guys of the father figure in your life.”
Dermot added: “Whether it’s your dad, grandad, stepdad, someone that knows your dad, we want to hear about them, as long as they’re guys, and [it’s] music that means something to you.”
Viewers immediately noticed Alison’s absence, particularly as she had referenced her scheduled appearance on the programme during a Good Morning Britain interview earlier in the week.
Previewing today’s edition of This Morning, Alison informed Susanna Reid and Martin Lewis on Wednesday (June 17): “[I’ll] be back on Friday… We’ve got Jason Mimosa on Friday, that’s gonna be fun!” Correcting her name slip-up, Susanna chuckled: “I think it’s Momoa!”

Viewers were consequently left confused when they switched on This Morning to find Angela presenting instead of Alison.
“Interesting, seems to be a last minute substitution. Haven’t they reference a few times this week that Jason Momoa would be in the studio with Alison and Dermot,” one individual posted on X (formerly Twitter).
Another contributed: “No Hammond presenting today,” while a third remarked: “No Alison.”
No further details have emerged regarding Alison’s absence, though she was seen updating her Instagram followers on Thursday (June 18) with a video of her new leopard print footwear.
