MDA Space buying U.S. company Blue Canyon Technologies

TORONTO — MDA Space Ltd. has signed a deal to buy Blue Canyon Technologies LLC in deal that values the U.S. company at $874 million.
Blue Canyon Technologies is a spacecraft and satellite component manufacturer and mission services provider.
Founded in 2008, the company has more than 400 employees and two manufacturing facilities in Denver.
It is part of RTX’s Raytheon business.
MDA Space chief executive Mike Greenley says the acquisition is expected to accelerate the company’s growth strategy by increasing its U.S. market opportunities.
The deal is expected to close by the end of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and required regulatory approvals.
