- Charlie Ireland has become a firm fan-favourite on Clarkson’s Farm, earning the nickname ‘Cheerful Charlie’ despite often being the bearer of bad news to Jeremy Clarkson.
- In the latest series, Charlie had to reveal that Diddly Squat Farm had made its first loss due to poor weather and disappointing crops.
- Away from the cameras, Charlie has been with his partner Catherine for around 22 years after they reconnected in London following university. Addressing their decision not to marry, Charlie told The Telegraph: “It’s never been on either of our agendas.”
- The couple have two teenage sons together and left London about a decade ago.
- Charlie has been working with the former Top Gear star since 2009, long before the show began in 2021.
- He is also an ambassador for the Motor Neurone Disease Association after his father Christopher died from the condition in 2011 aged 67.
