Crews respond to fire at Broken Arrow fireworks stand

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Broken Arrow Police and Broken Arrow Fire Departments are responding to a fire at a fireworks stand near East Kenosha Street near South 236th East Avenue.
Broken Arrow Fire Department said they received the call for a fire around 8:50 p.m.
Broken Arrow Fire said that upon their arrival to the scene, they found a fireworks stand actively detonating. The crews were able to control the fire and get it put out within 20 minutes.
According to BAFD, no one was hurt. Investigators said the owners had wrapped up for the evening and were not there when the stand caught fire.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
Broken Arrow Fire asks that drivers avoid the area.
