North Carolina defeats Oklahoma in Game 2 of the MCWS finals, forces Game 3

North Carolina center fielder Owen Hull has gone into detail about being in the ‘O-Zone’ a few times this season, most recently after hitting four doubles, one being a walk-off winner, to eliminate Southern California in the super regionals.
But after his solo homer in the fifth, it’s pretty clear that the George Mason transfer has been on a roll all season, especially in the NCAA tournament.
The Tar Heels’ two-hitter, Hull entered today’s game as the team’s leader in batting average in the tournament (.500) and Men’s College World Series (.444). He also holds the top spot for UNC at the MCWS in runs (6), hits (8), doubles (3), extra-base hits (5) and total bases.
Outside of his performance against USC, he went 4-for-5 with two RBIs, two doubles and a triple against West Virginia in the MCWS semifinals.
Talk about rising to the occasion.
