Queensferry Crossing Doors Open Day tour 2025
Written by Midlothian View Reporter, Liam Eunson
Queensferry Crossing took part in the 2025 Doors Open Day, letting 180 members of the public access the iconic Scottish landmark.
With over 20,000 members of the public seeking the opportunity to take the tour of the world’s longest 3-tower, cable-stayed bridge through a ballot, only 180 spaces were available, making this rare insight into one of Scotland’s top engineering landmarks a sought-after Doors Open Day activity.
Opening their doors through various small tours on Saturday (27 September), lucky members of the public were given the opportunity to see the internals of the bridge’s deck, underneath the motor way, and onto the central reservation, being educated on the bridge’s features, the building and design process, alongside some interesting facts.
Reporter, Liam Eunson, was invited along to take part in the tour on Saturday.
