Prediction, pick for Sergio Pettis vs. Magomed Magomedov

Ryan Wohl details his best bet for Sergio Pettis vs. Magomed Magomedov.
The former Bellator Bantamweight Champion Sergio Pettis is back to take on Magomed Magomedov in a three-round 135-pound contest. Pettis recently snapped his two-fight losing streak against Rafeon Stots in June. Magomedov has a 21-4 overall record while being 5-3 in Bellator/PFL.
Here is my best bet for Sergio Pettis vs. Magomed Magomedov at PFL Champions Series Dubai: Nurmagomedov vs. Hughes 2.
Pettis and Magomedov have two common opponents, Stots and Patchy Mix. Both of them lost to Mix while Pettis beat Stots, something Magomedov was unable to achieve.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Magomedov is a -278 favorite while Pettis is a +225 underdog. The over/under is set at 2.5 rounds for this fight, with the over being -220. Magomedov excels on the ground, where he has 11 submissions in his career, and Pettis must display elite takedown defense to be successful in this bout.
Magomedov is taller by one inch (5’7″ vs. 5’6″) while both fighters have a 69″ standing reach. This is a close matchup with two talented fighters, but once again, Pettis is too big of an underdog. Pettis has the edge in significant fight experience, having competed in four title fights throughout his career and appeared on numerous major cards in the past, both in the UFC and Bellator. Getting Pettis at +225 is an excellent play, as he has shown in the past that when he’s at his best, he can pull off an upset as the underdog.
