CM: Orlando City willing to offer €26m for Gimenez with €4m contract waiting for him

It seems Orlando City are really serious about their pursuit of Santiago Gimenez and the Mexican striker could well stay in North America.

However, Santiago Gimenez is also being looked at by MLS club Orlando City, as was reported yesterday by Daniele Longo.
Whether he would be considered a star is something. However, in North America, his profile could be more appealing than it would be to other European clubs.
Gimenez offer could be readied
Now, it is being suggested that the MLS side could well compete with the money required to keep him in the States permanently after the World Cup. Indeed, Calciomercato.com reports that an offer of $30 million (approximately €26m) would be made.
Considering this is almost what Milan paid for him almost 18 months ago, if that offer were to be made official, it could well be considered.
It is not just the club-to-club offer which could be matched, though. Indeed, a contract worth €4m per season would also be offered to the Mexican striker and it could be a chance for him to restart.
In an ideal world, he would like to continue with the Rossoneri. However, with a guaranteed opportunity of a reset on the table, maybe he’d have to consider it…
