A dad and bareknuckle boxer has died after he was rushed from a flight to Manchester Airport in a critical condition. Callum Kerr, from Warrington, had boarded the Jet2 plane from Larnaca in Cyprus with his girlfriend on June 21.
But witnesses said the man, in his 30s, became ‘disruptive’ during the flight after he had reportedly consumed a significant amount of alcohol beforehand. Police said they were called to an alleged assault on the flight after the man, later named as Callum, had reportedly become ‘aggressive’.
Officers boarded the plane after it landed at Manchester Airport during the early hours of June 22 and found fellow passengers had restrained Callum. Videos and pictures shared online showed the moment police boarded the aircraft before officers discovered he wasn’t breathing.

They immediately began performing CPR and subsequently called for a defibrillator, before Callum was taken to hospital after falling ‘critically ill’. He has now died, family members have told the Manchester Evening News.
Tributes have been paid to Callum on social media following his death. “Can’t believe I’m writing this RIP Callum Kerr wtf,” one person wrote, as another posted: “God bless mate we’ll catch up again.”
“I thought I was dreaming when I seen someone write it last night.. goodnight godbless cal,” penned another, as a fourth person commented: “Gunna miss that cheeky grin of his.”
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police previously said: “An investigation is underway after a man became critically ill following reports that the same individual had been aggressive and disruptive towards a passenger and crew members on a flight heading into Manchester Airport
