Nicole Kidman Shares Father’s Day Tribute to Ex Keith Urban 6 Months After Their Divorce Was Finalized

Nicole Kidman is showing some Father’s Day love to ex-husband Keith Urban.

The actress, 59, shared a tribute to the dads in her life on her Instagram Stories on Sunday, June 21, marking the first Father’s Day since she and the country music star, 58, finalized their divorce in January.

The post featured two black-and-white throwback photos, one of which shows Urban carrying the former couple’s two daughters on his back when they were young children.

“Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers,” Nicole wrote across the images.

Nicole and Urban, who married in 2006, share daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15. They publicly announced their split in September 2025 after 19 years of marriage.

The Scarpetta actress also used the occasion to honor her own late father, Dr. Antony Kidman, sharing a black-and-white photo of him carrying her in his arms as a young child.

The Oscar winner has frequently spoken about the close bond she shared with both her parents: Dr. Kidman, a psychologist and biochemist, who died in 2014 at age 75, as well as her mother, Janelle Kidman, who died in September 2024 at the age of 84.

While speaking to GQ in November 2024, Nicole said she still sometimes wakes up “crying and gasping” over the losses.

“Life is, whew. It’s definitely a journey. And it hits you as you get older,” she told the outlet.

“If you’re in it and not numbing yourself to it. And I’m in it. Fully in it,” she added.

Nicole, who also shares two children, Bella, 33, and Connor, 31, with ex-husband Tom Cruise, has said that being a parent to her own kids is a huge source of grounding and stability in her life.

“My children [give me the] purpose of being their protector and their guide, promising them that I’m here and that, no matter what, there’s always a safe place to grow up in,” she said in an October 2025 interview with Harper’s Bazaar.

She added that things like “life, connection [and] people” keep her feeling “vibrant and energized.”
