Restricted free agent defenceman Brandt Clarke has signed a five-year, $37-million deal to re-up with the Kings, the team announced on Friday.
Clarke had a career-best season in the City of Stars, finishing with eight goals and 32 assists in 82 games, all of which were career highs for the 23-year-old.
He also made his second post-season appearance, finishing with one point as the Kings were swept by the Presidents’ Trophy-winning Colorado Avalanche in the first round.
Drafted by the Kings eighth overall in 2021, the Nepean, Ont., native has 15 goals and 66 assists through 185 regular-season games in the NHL.
