Dundee Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of central midfielder Ryan Finnigan from Blackpool for an undisclosed fee, subject to the relevant international clearance.
A product of Southampton’s academy, the 22-year-old arrives after an extensive recruitment process.
Finnigan has been a long-term target for the Dark Blues, with the club having tracked his progress for over a year, attracting considerable interest from clubs in England before opting to make the move to Dens Park.
“I’m delighted to be joining Dundee. From my first conversations with the Manager and David, it was clear how they saw me fitting into the team. After visiting Dundee and hearing the vision for the future, it was an easy decision.

“Ryan is a player that we have pursued and monitored for the past 12 months and is has taken a lot of hard work from our recruitment team. We also know there was strong interest in Ryan from other clubs in England, so we are obviously delighted to finally get him in the building.
He most recently had a very successful loan at Walsall where I was able to witness first hand when watching my son, his qualities. Again, he is a player we believe has a huge ceiling and so we are excited to have the opportunity to work with him.
