Noah Kahan knows fans want to see every minute of his performance, but there are limits.
During a tour stop on his Great Divide Tour on Sunday, June 18 at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium, the “Stick Season” singer encouraged fans to use the bathroom during his shows after an apparent incident earlier in the tour.
Fans at Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park shared video online a couple days ago of what appeared to be feces on the ground at the venue, claiming a concertgoer had defecated on the premises.
Kahan addressed the issue on social media the next day, writing, “If you have to poop at a show please dear god just go to the bathroom lmao.”
He continued, “I’ve pooped my pants as much as the next 29 year old but you guys gotta understand there’s a venue worker out there with a 1000 yard stare after dealing with that,” admitting in another post that he pooped himself “onstage in Charlottesville but that’s because I am dedicated to my craft.”
At the Toronto show, Kahan asked fans to take a pledge they will use the bathroom if they need it.
“I solemnly swear I will not s— my pants and if I do, I won’t take it from my pants and put it on the floor,” he said to the crowd according to fan-captured video.
Kahan isn’t the only musician whose fans have taken concert-watching to the extreme.
Olivia Rodrgio recently revealed she’s caught a whiff of fans from the crowd who were wearing actual diapers.
“I have been to certain concerts and certain festivals where people wear diapers so that they can be front row of the show, and it’s been an experience as a performer that I’ve smelled,” she told KISS Radio.
She recalled, “There’s a sign that says ‘wearing diapers for the front row’. Is that true? Did you guys wear diapers? You’re wearing a diaper right now to be in the front row? Wow. That is actually amazing. I love you. Thank you for doing that. That’s crazy.”
