Both nations that reached the quarterfinals of the 2022 World Cup. So it was no surprise that the tightly contested match had to be decided by penalty kicks.

NRG Stadium (or Houston Stadium for the duration of the 2026 World Cup) is the regular home stadium for the NFL’s Houston Texans. The stadium has hosted two Super Bowls, both won by the New England Patriots. The Patriots defeated the Carolina Panthers, 32-29, in Super Bowl XXXVIII on Feb. 1, 2004. Then in Super Bowl 51, on Feb. 5, 2017, the Patriots defeated the Atlanta Falcons in overtime in one of the greatest Super Bowls ever played.
