Colombia trains at Sporting KC, stays on Plaza before Ghana match

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Colombia’s World Cup road trip is making a Kansas City pit stop this week with training on Sporting KC’s turf before a Thursday night showdown with Ghana at Kansas City Stadium.

The Colombia men’s national soccer team is in the Kansas City area this week as it prepares for its next World Cup match, according to the team’s media schedule.

The team is set to travel from South Florida to Kansas City on Wednesday, July 1, after training at Inter Miami CF Stadium in Fort Lauderdale.

Colombia’s Kansas City-area schedule includes planned media availability when they arrive with details listed as to be confirmed, ahead of Thursday night’s match.

Colombia is scheduled to play Ghana at 8:30 p.m. local time July 3 in Kansas City.
