Former Olympian indicted after arrest over alleged Reflecting Pool vandalism

A grand jury in D.C. has indicted a Maryland man for allegedly vandalizing the newly refurbished Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, according to two people familiar with the matter.
The panel recommended at least one charge against David Hearn, a three-time Olympian who competed in the canoe slalom, amid a wider Trump administration push to crack down on those the president has accused of vandalizing the pool, the people familiar with the matter said. They spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss developments in a case that had not yet been publicly announced.
