First Alert Day: Scattered storms on Friday morning

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – It’s a First Alert Day as we deal with the threat of thunderstorms and locally heavy rainfall to start the day. Expect showers and thunderstorms to persist until late morning. An inch or two of rainfall is possible, which could cause additional flooding in areas that received several inches of rain on Thursday. A few storms may also produce hail and strong wind gusts. Under partly sunny skies today, there will be a chance of stray thunderstorms redeveloping in the late afternoon and evening. High temperatures are expected to be in the seasonably warm, low 80s, with light southwest winds.
