City sign Wallace

Bristol City have signed winger Jed Wallace on a two-year deal, following his departure from West Bromwich Albion.

The 32-year-old has a vast amount of Championship experience, having made more than 350 appearances in the division for Wolves, Millwall and the Baggies.

Making 260 appearances for Millwall across seven seasons, he was part of the Lions side who won promotion to the Championship via the play-offs.

Wallace was also an integral part of the Baggies side which made the Championship play-offs in the 2023/24 season.

On signing for City, he said: “I am really proud and excited to be here. I spoke to James and Michael and I am extremely impressed.

“There is a huge opportunity for us this season to achieve something and I hope I can help the leaders here in the group already. There will be plenty of ups and downs, so it is important the experienced players in the dressing room hold that together. I am looking forward to getting out there and meeting all the fans.”

First Team Manager Michael Skubala said: “We know what a brilliant player Jed is and to bring in someone of his quality who has played so much at the level is extremely positive.

“I am looking forward to working with him.”

Sporting Director James Ellis added: “In our plan, it’s important we help balance our youthful group with players who understand what it takes at this level.

“Jed brings this in abundance and will support the leadership group and the coaching staff to develop that edge we’ll need to develop, grow and bring success. He will help us all hugely both on and off the pitch.”
