Each season, you simply never know which notable names you will see make a surprise cameo on the runways—the casting is half the fun of attending a fashion week, no? The spring 2027 menswear shows this past month were no different: At the Vetements men’s show earlier this week, Sean Preston and Jayden James—the two sons of legendary pop icon Britney Spears—surprised everyone by walking down the catwalk in their finest cutting-edge looks, both designed by Guram Gvasalia.
It was an entirely unexpected appearance from the two siblings, given that Preston and James have kept a relatively low-profile over the years—choosing to stay out of the spotlight despite having two parents who are very much in the public eye. (Their father is Kevin Federline.) But now that they are both young adults (Sean 20, and Jayden 19), the duo says the timing felt right to make their splashy modeling debuts. “We get offered an opportunity like that,” says Sean Preston, “and Jayden and I were like, ‘Hell yeah—this is so sick.’”
Below, Vogue chats with Sean Preston and Jayden James more about marking their very first show. Plus, we discussed how they perfected their walks, their plans to make music, and what their (pop royalty) mom thought of the whole experience. (Spoiler alert: Britney had full confidence in them.)
Vogue: I would love to start by hearing about how you both got cast for the show.
Sean Preston: The creative director [Guram] reached out to Jayden and me, I guess, from seeing photos of us on the internet, and invited us to walk the show. Initially, we were supposed to just be invited to watch the show, but then he came up with the decision to let us walk. We were like, “Hell yeah, that’s so sick.” I’ve heard about the brand Vetements before, and I’ve worn their stuff, but I’ve never really been in a fashion environment before. That was really cool and exciting.
Jayden James: It was pretty crazy—being there in person was mind-blowing. It was like, “What the heck? There’s no way he actually chose us.”

Was modeling something you ever considered doing before this?
Sean Preston: Not really—not for. me, at least. I just did it because it was the brand Vetements, and there were such incredible people there. When you’re there in person, it’s different than everything you see online—the energy is just crazy.
