Courage push Fourth of July game back an hour due to extreme heat

Due to the heat reaching 100 degrees on Saturday, the NC Courage’s scheduled game against Seattle Reign FC is now kicking off at 7:30 p.m. at First Horizon Stadium.
Saturday is a WRAL Weather Alert Day and could get as hot as 103 degrees in the afternoon. The game was previously scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. An extreme heat warning is in effect through 8 p.m. on Saturday, which marks the Independence Day holiday.
It’ll be the first action for the Courage since May 31. They won three straight matches before their break and are seventh in the National Women’s Soccer League standings with 18 points.
Tickets to the game are available online.
