Lupita Nyong’o has officially entered The Odyssey chat, joining co-stars Zendaya and Anne Hathaway as the film’s press tour gathers momentum. That leaves only Charlize Theron, Mia Goth and Samantha Morton yet to join their castmates.

Unlike Zendaya and Anne, you have to go back to October 2024 and The Wild Robot press tour for Lupita’s last sustained promotional run. Judging by this first LaPointe look, however, it’s safe to say she hasn’t missed a beat.
For a daytime press appearance, this delivered glamour with ease. The fluid silver satin, trimmed with wispy feathers at the collar and cuffs, struck a beautiful balance between elegance and lightness, making it feel perfectly suited to a summer day in New York.
Jimmy Choo pumps and a Brahmin top-handle bag completed the look. Despite its snakeskin finish, the bag never distracted from the statement coat.
I know many of you, like me, have missed Lupita’s love of bold colour. While this silver palette is more muted, it was still a strong opening look that reminded us why she’s one of the most consistently stylish women on the red carpet.
As a Chanel ambassador, we also haven’t seen much of Lupita under Matthieu Blazy’s direction yet, which makes this press tour even more intriguing. I’m especially looking forward to seeing whether Chanel becomes part of her wardrobe over the coming weeks.
