Your guide to 2026 Fourth of July fireworks and celebrations in Hawaii

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A massive fireworks show over Waikiki, a choreographed concert and fireworks display in Lihue, and a rodeo on Maui will all mark the 250th anniversary of America’s founding.
Here’s a list of events happening across the state:
Kauai
- Kauai Hospice 4th of July Concert in the Sky will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Vidinha Stadium Soccer Fields in Lihue. Fireworks start at 9:15 p.m. Tickets are required.
Oahu
- 4th of July Fireworks Show in Waikiki is set to begin at 8:30 p.m. The barge will be stationed off central Waikiki, between Halekulani and the Moana Surfrider. The show is sponsored by the Waikiki Improvement Association and Southwest Airlines.
- 77th Annual Kailua Independence Day Parade will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Omao St. intersection to Kailua Intermediate School.
- Kailua 4th of July fireworks start at 8 p.m. at Kailua Beach Park. Sponsor Alexander & Baldwin will provide free shuttle service from 4:30 to 10:30 p.m.
- Haleiwa 4th of July Community Festival, Car Show & Fireworks Celebration runs from 1 to 9 p.m. at Haleiwa Beach Park hosted by the North Shore Chamber of Commerce. A fireworks show is scheduled for 8:20 p.m.
- Independence Day Celebration at Schofield Barracks starts at 4 p.m. at Weyand Field with a fireworks show at 9 p.m. This event is open to all authorized DOD ID card holders and sponsored guests.
- 4th of July Celebration at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. Gates open at 4 p.m. with a fireworks show at 9:20 p.m. This event is open to all DoW eligible patrons with a DoW ID (active duty, dependents, retirees, and DoW civilians) or other patrons with authorized base access in accordance with the current FPCON level policies.
- 4th of July at the Hukilau Marketplace outside the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie will host live performances starting at 4 p.m. and a fireworks show at 9 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.
Maui
- Grand Wailea Resort’s fireworks display at Wailea Beach starts at 9 p.m. in partnership with the Wailea Community Association.
- Westin Maui Resort & Spa is hosting “Flowerworks,” with thousands of fresh orchids dropping from a helicopter at 1 p.m. A drone show illuminates the sky at 8:30 p.m. Both events are visible from the pool deck.
- The Fourth of July Makawao Stampede is a three-day experience featuring family-friendly activities, ono food, and special performances at Oskie Rice Event Center in Upcountry Maui. Watch it live on HawaiiNewsNow.com.
Hawaii Island
- Historic Kailua Village Independence Day features a parade that starts at 6 p.m. and proceeds along Alii Drive through town. A fireworks show over Kailua Bay starts at 8 p.m.
- July 4th Rodeo and Horse Races at Parker Ranch in Waimea runs from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are required.
- Hot Rides Expo, featuring vintage, classic and futuristic vehicles, will be held at the Hilo Bayfront Soccer Fields from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Hilo Bay Blast begins at 7 p.m. with the Hawaii County Band performing at the Mo‘oheau Park bandstand. The performance will accompany a fireworks exhibition that starts at 8 p.m. with professional pyrotechnics set off from a barge moored in Hilo Bay. For those not near the bandstand, the fireworks display will be synchronized to patriotic music aired on KWXX.
