Mariska Hargitay Switches Up Her Hair With an Edgy Tousled Golden Bob for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s July 3 wedding really was the event of the summer. Countless celebrities made their way to Madison Square Garden for the magical evening. Amongst them was actress Mariska Hargitay, who debuted a brand new chop for the occasion.

Her hair stylist Chris McMillan shared a photo of her new ‘do on Instagram. In the photo, Hargitay leaned out of a car window, showing off a tousled blunt bob with golden ends, styled in a deep side part. “fresh ✂️ for @therealmariskahargitay for the Taylor n Travis FUN,” the hair stylist wrote, before adding, “Bobs can be tricky. The key for this style is the side part , texture, and BLUNT BOB.”

The look is an update on her already cropped hair—Hargitay first debuted her bob in May just in time for her Broadway debut in Every Brilliant Thing.

Hargitay wore a long black gown with a halter neck for the outing. She was joined by her husband actor Peter Hermann, who can be seen snapping a picture behind Hargitay in McMillan’s photo.

Hargitay and Hermann’s date night at Swift’s wedding comes after the actress sat next to the singer at a recent Knicks game. In a cute turn of events, Hargitay changed into a “Stevie Knicks” T-shirt to match with Swift halfway through the game.

And Swift and Hargitay’s friendship goes back long before that. Swift is a huge fan of Law & Order and even named one of her cats after Hargitay’s character Olivia Benson.

Back in 2014, Hargitay was one of Swift’s so-called girl squad in her “Bad Blood” music video. She later joined Swift and the rest of the cast at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards. “It was so fun. It’s the best music video,” Hargitay told host Alex Cooper on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast recently. “That was the most fun, being in the squad with all the cool girls and supermodels,” Hargitay went on. “It was the most fun ever.”
