4 teens arrested after mass shooting on Hilton Head beach

HILTON HEAD, S.C. (WCSC) — Four teenagers were arrested after a mass shooting occurred on a Hilton Head beach on Independence Day.
Jayden Hawes, 18, was charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and aggravated breach of peace.
Marcello Royal, 17, was charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, unlawful possession of a weapon, and aggravated breach of peace.
Quazeir Davis, 17, was charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, unlawful possession of a weapon, and aggravated breach of peace.
Christopher Capers, 17, was charged with accessory after the fact.

According to Beaufort County authorities, they received multiple calls shortly after 8:00 p.m. regarding a shooting in the area of Coligny Beach.
Deputies responded to the scene and found seven people suffering from what appeared to be non-fatal gunshot wounds.
The victims received medical attention at various hospitals.
During their investigation, Beaufort County deputies determined that a fight between two individual groups occurred on the public beach.
During the altercation, shots were fired, and the suspects fled the scene.
Deputies were able to identify and detain the involved parties, and after further interviews, the four teen boys were arrested.
Multiple guns were also recovered during the investigation.
The incident, authorities say, is still an active investigation, and further charges are pending.
Although the investigation is still ongoing, there is no ongoing threat to the public, authorities say.
