A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Police said: “We were called at 10.15am yesterday morning (Sunday, July 5) with a report of a single vehicle collision on the southbound carriageway of the M5.
“The collision, which involved an overturned campervan, took place just before the slip road for junction 12 for Quedgeley and Hardwicke.
“The occupants of the campervan were assessed by paramedics and did not sustain any serious injuries.
“The carriageway was blocked whilst emergency services were in attendance and later reopened.”
